OUR POLICY

We here at Kelly Freehold have taken the policy of not spamming, that is sending bulk e-mail to unsuspecting souls with our offers. However we are not beyond replying to any e-mail sent to us listing the opportunities we have to offer. Also we take great care in choosing the appropriate news groups to and classified ads to post our offers.

You can rest assured that all information that is generated through these pages which belong to us personally will be held in confidence, and not used for spamming, or be sold. This information is gathered that we may assist you in any offer you are interested in, or wish to join.

It is our request that our visitors observe the same policy while being our guest.

Commerce is commerce. Blindly bombarding "harvested" addresses from USENET, Classified ads and Members Directories is just making a general nuisance of yourself. - Study The Green River Ordnance

Email meltdowns haunt holidays

"Small and medium-sized businesses that use GTE for Internet services have been experiencing problems with email since Monday night, when spam took down the system for a day, according to GTE.

"The email server responsible for the 600 small and medium-sized business "internetworking" customers crashed Monday afternoon after "customers sustained some severe spamming attacks," said GTE spokesman Bill Kula. GTE restored the server late Tuesday night and processed all the mail, he said."

Spam snags @Home mail system

@Home (ATHM) subscribers had trouble receiving email for three days after a spammer sent out a mass mailing this weekend to America Online members using "work@home.com" as the return address.

Hundreds of thousands of emails bounced back to the Internet cable service, overwhelming its servers, Matt Wolfrom, a spokesman for @Home told CNET Radio earlier today.

The messages formed a huge email queue that prevented subscribers from receiving their email. Users were able to send email from their @Home accounts.

SPAM IS EVIL AND SHOULD BE STOPPED NOW.

Sunday, March 8th, 1998

Dear Internet users,

The INFOWEB.COM domain, a property of ShockMedia, was severely damaged this weekend by a spammer illegally using our domain name as the return address. Neither the ISP nor the spammer gave us any help in the last 3 days and it caused us a serious amount of direct and indirect damage to our network operations and the goodwill and future value of our domain name.

Please read the following timeline and give me your reaction to the hassle that I had to go through this entire weekend due to the actions of this spammer and the failure of this spammer's ISP to take any action whatsover to stop the denial of service our network experienced all weekend.

This report will be entered into evidence and submited to the FBI computer crimes division this week. I will also be seekeing damages both from the spammer and the ISP responsible for allowing the actions to continue for more than 2 full days after repeated requests and warnings.

I am asking for your support in this case, in an effort to set a precedent and to focus on the damage that Unsolicited Commercial Email can effectuate. The rampant use of SPAM across the Internet is at a level I have never seen before and if something is not done soon to curb it's use, there will be little we can do to stop it in the future.

Your comments are very welcomed: rayking@shockmedia.com

Spam Jams Pac Bell's Email Services
by Chris Oakes and James Glave

12:05pm  13.Mar.98.PST
Pacific Bell Internet Services grappled with an unprecedented load of spam for four days this week, leading to sporadic disruptions of email service to thousands of customers across California. The attack cost the regional telephone company roughly $500,000, an executive said.

When asked if the company had ever seen an attack of this magnitude before, Pacific Bell Internet Vice President Ruben Cota said "never to this degree."

The last thing the internet needs is Five Million people sending Five Million spams, spamming each other to promote their latest divine revelation of political indignation and money making BS. A spam is a spam is a spam, it does not matter what the contents is. The internet community has better things to do than to spend eight hours a day downloading and processing spam, as I would assume you do as well. Do the math for yourself, the numbers are devastating.

TAKE ME OFF YOUR DAMN LIST: sell address to other spammer

abuse@spammers.com: Spam Hater

Question: I wonder why?

"I guess the key word here is LEGITIMATE list washing service. While your list looks impressive, it consists mainly of known spam harvesters, and spam hater sites. The first will get you on the junk lists, and the second is just totally useless."

A SPAMMERS LIE/FRAUD, IS NOT BUSINESS, IT IS JUST PURE B.S. IN THE SAME MANNER AS THEIR SO CALLED REMOVE LIST. IT IS EASY TO SEE THAT ANY SPAM IS JUST ANOTHER PIECE OF CRAP.

Just A Short Update

The 105th US Congress considered Bill s.1618 TITLE III that was passed by the Senate, but failed in the House of Representative. Suddenly, all the fools that don't know the difference between a bill and a law, or just out and out mere liars, started toting this failed Bill as being law, adding it as a disclaimer to the bottom of their intrusive junk claiming this failed bill gives them the right to invade our homes via email. (Ignorance seems to be a factor for spammers.) Once again we have noted the resurrection of the "remove list" and list washing services. These list are a dismal failure in preforming the "services" they claim to provide.

1. These list are used as confirmation of "good" address. It is simple, wash a list, then compare the removes to the original list. Those removed are "live address".

2. When a list gets full, make a new one, the options are endless. The founder of DEAA.ORG had five of these list, when you "op-ed out" of one, you was added to the next, and the cycle started all over again.

3. I have never seen a remove list reduce spam, only increase it. Which only goes to reinforce my first point.

All of these list claim to be the solution to spam. The only solution is an attempt to wear you down as you tire of "op-ing out" of one list after another as we begin to see these list cropping up at the end of these intrusions again.

The following are just a few examples of the "new" list washing services that have popped up after this bill was considered.
